Hoka One One is finally in the Philippines.
Why run when you can fly?
One of the hottest names in the running community has finally landed in the Philippines with French brand Hoka One One officially launched in the country via Runnr last March 16 in BGC.
Founded in 2009 and with deep backgrounds in distance running, Hoka One One enters a competitive Philippine market as Filipinos continue to embrace a more healthy lifestyle with running mostly being at the forefront of the fit movement.
To coincide with the launch, eight models were already made available to the public with each one able to fulfill a specific category for a wide range of runners.
"Lots of people have been looking forward to it because word has been getting around in the running community globally," Toby Claudio, President of Toby's Sports and co-founder of Runnr said on Hoke One One finally landing in the country.
"It's a cushioned ride unlike any other shoe, it's good for all types of runners from beginners to competitive athletes. It's the favorite of ultra marathoners and triathletes," he added.
As of right now, if you're a dedicated runner, you've heard about Hoka One One and it's "fly" shoes. But that's not the goal for this launch, at least not the main one.
Now, it gives the opportunity for the casual runners, the weekend warriors, to experience running genius like never before.
"People who try it on, they can really tell it's a different sensation," Claudio said.
"You really feel like you're floating from te ground, it allows people to run without pain more comfortably in longer distances," he added.
Are you sold yet?
Well if not, do kow that Hoka One One is available now on Runnr with all eight models priced competitively in the P5,000-P8,000 range. Do yourself a favor and seriously consider getting one.
"Running is not easy, it's hard on the body. Casual runners need as much help that they can get and the shoes really provide beginner runners a lot of help in terms of cushioning, support, and even stability. It helps them enjoy running," said Claudio.
