Classic trainers get facelift to combine retro style, top performance
The revamp was made so the shoe can adhere to this generation’s athletic demands while maintaining its nostalgic yet elegant form.
A shoe brand has taken a more fine-tuned approach in re-designing one of its ubiquitous sneakers.
In an update to the adidas Equipment classic, the EQT Support RF model receives two new for men and women to adhere to this generation’s athletic demands while maintaining its nostalgic yet elegant form.
The men’s iteration of the silhouette assumes a classic 90s running materialway, featuring a mesh construction with suede panels and welded overlay details. Classic details such as an asymmetrical wraparound tongue, TPU support piece and heel panel and webbing tape 3-stripes lace system are restored in full. Rendered in a Carbon Black colorway, it’s an understated approach that brings classic adidas footwear design to the fore.
For the women’s edition, a slightly altered approach counters a mesh vamp with nubuck panels and roller knit textile on the tongue and quarter. Original EQT Support elements are retained in full, whilst the shoe’s blacked-out upper is offset only by a crisp white midsole with turquoise integrated 3-stripes-mark detail. Viewed alongside each other, the two new iterations culminate as a softly-spoken testament to the enduring aesthetic of the original Equipment series.
The EQT range hit stores on 24 August 2017, and retails for P5995 at leading adidas stores and retailers and http://shop.adidas.com.ph/originals/eqt.html
