Sunday Sneaks special edition: The King's Silver Bullet
LeBron James' choice of footwear for his third Manila visit were the Nike Zoom Solider 11s that were directly inspired by the most famous colorway of the Air Max 97.

Would you look at that, we're only in Week 2 and we already have a special edition of Sunday Sneaks.

And this one actually came out Sunday*. Thanks Bronny.

*Shoes were actually worn on a Saturday.

For the third time ever, LeBron James graced the Philippines with his royal presence as the King rocked the MOA Arena over the weekend for the Strive for Greatness tour 2017.

And with an event of this magnitude and considering that LeBron is already 14 shoes deep into his signature line with a bunch of takedown models on the side, you already know that ABS-CBN Sports was on the lookout for the King's choice in footwear.

Boy he came in fresh, as always.

Ditching his main signature line, James toured Manila in the Nike Zoom Soldier 11 in the Silver Bullet colorway.

Inspired by the most famous rendition of the classic Air Max 97, this particular pair of the Soldier 11s feature a predominantly metallic silver upper with hints of red in the branding.

As a direct nod to the Air Max 97s, oval Swoosh branding can be found in one of the straps. Speaking of straps, the tips are reflective.

A striped white outsole complete the look.

In terms of performance specs, the Soldier 11s feature a one-piece upper with four straps in place of traditional laces. LeBron's playoff shoe model also has two zoom air units in the heel and forefoot.

With the Silver Bullets on his feet, the King dazzled the MOA crowd with three thunderous dunks as he checked in late during the exhibition game featuring Gilas Pilipinas.

This particular model released in the States back in August and is set to release in limited quantities exclusively today, September 3 at Nike Park Fort at 11 a.m. on a first come, first served basis.

The shoe will retail for PHP 7,195.
