Sunday Sneaks: What do giants wear?

Kobe Bryant's signature line typically does not cater to players the size of Greg Slaughter. But with Ginebra's prized big man coming off injury, maybe the Mamba's latest sneakers are his most comfortable option as of right now.
Over the course of one year, the PBA saw two playoff matchups that featured San Miguel and Brgy. Ginebra.
That was 10 games between the Beermen and the Gin Kings and none had both June Mar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter in them.
It's as if the basketball gods were playing a cruel joke on all of us.
However, Sunday marked the first time in a long while that June Mar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter shared the court together.
And as if the basketball gods were playing a cruel joke on all of us, the game flopped... in terms of the action pitting the Kraken and uhm well... Gregzilla (Greg needs a better nickname, tbh).
Regardless, this edition of Sunday Sneaks* will feature both giants and what they actually wear on court. It's pretty rare we see the two in action in the same game, why not celebrate the joyous occassion.
Am I right or am I totally right?

Playing basketball seems effortless on the part of June Mar Fajardo, but you know what's not effortless on the part of the Kraken?
Finding basketball shoes.
June Mar wears a size 17 so you already know he's having quite a hard time finding pairs locally considering most retailers only carry up to a size 15.
Fajardo seems like he's not the type to go for some overly expensive stuff and the reigning three-time league MVP prefers to keep it simple on most nights.
Against the Gin Kings, June Mar's weapon of choice was the 2016 Nike Hyperdunk. A pretty solid shoe albeit a little boring.
Featuring a standard combination of fuse and mesh on the upper, Fajardo's Hyperdunks matches with the red San Miguel kits.
The Swoosh usually comes correct with its signature basketball model and the 2016 edition of the Hyperdunk is actually pretty solid, featuring Zoom Air that is done right.
More importantly, the 2016 HDs, particularly in this mid-cut version, offers incredible stability, something that a player like June Mar can appreciate for sure.
Maybe that's why he wore them in the first place.
Moving on to Ginebra, Greg Slaugther has some pretty interesting choice of footwear.
Standing at 7 feet tall, the former no. 1 overall pick chose to go to battle wearing low cut Kobes.
The Black Mamba's signature line wasn't particularly designed with guys like Greg in mind but whatever works we guess.
Slaughter's pair of kicks is the Nike Kobe A.D. NXT in the university red colorway, the second Kobe model released by the brand after Bryant's retirement.
Greg's pair also comes correct with the Gin Kings' colors as a the knitted shroud, the Nike torch tongue, the branding, and the rest of the mesh upper come in red. A black outsole complete the look.
A great performer (unlike the original A.D.), the A.D. NXTs feature lunarlon an heel zoom air that has been a standard Kobe cushioning for a couple of years now. However, what sets the shoe apart from others is its incredible fit and support.
Kobe Bryant's signature line typically does not cater to players the size of Greg Slaughter. But with Ginebra's prized big man coming off injury, maybe the Mamba's latest sneakers are his most comfortable optionas of right now.
And that's all that matters right? They're performance shoes anyway.
