Sunday Sneaks: Champion shoes for the champion Beermen

Fire emojis all over.
The PBA is back and what do you know, Sunday Sneaks is back as well.
Since the spotlight has been with the San Miguel Beermen and their quest for a fourth straight Philippine Cup title, among other things, it's only right to feature the champs for the first Sunday Sneaks of the season.
So, without boring you with words any longer, let's go straight to the shoes.
The PBA is back and what do you know, Sunday Sneaks* is back as well.
*Sunday Sneaks that come out on a Monday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
First of all, Chris Ross might be the biggest sneakerhead in the PBA. He might as well have the best collection out of all active players.
On Sunday to start the Beermen's title defense, the reigning two-time All-Filipino Finals MVP decided to take an underrated gem out of his closet and blessed the PBA with the Air Jordan 13 "Single's Day."
One half of the "What is Love?" pack that was inspired by the, well... Single's Day in China, this particular Jordan 13 that released in 2016 matched well with the San Miguel uniforms since it sports a bright red and black colorway.
Also, the Single's Day Jordan 13 features a wear-away leather overlay meaning the black part of the upper will wear away in time to reveal a unique graphic.
Maybe if Ross wears his pair enough this season we'll get to see that happen.
Moving on, another San Miguel star came correcto with his shoes as the Beermen opened the season with a victory.
Marcio Lassiter, who might be the second-best sneakerhead in the PBA (or first, one of these days we'll have to ask both Chris and Marcio who's the better sneakerhead), showed up at the Araneta Coliseum with the recently-released Air Jordan 11 "Win Like 96" colorway.
Inspired by MJ's fourth championship, over two decades ago when he wore the same model, this particular Jordan 11 sports an almost all red look to honor the GOAT's Chicago Bulls squad.
Red dominates the upper mesh patent leather sections while a white midsole breaks the monotone look. An icy outsole completes shoe.
Marcio also saved the Beermen in the fourth quarter while wearing this shoe. It's called Win Like 96, you don't take Ls when you wear this one.
Finally, reigning four-time league MVP June Mar Fajardo dominated to the tune of 23 points and 16 rebounds while rocking the Air Jordan 31 low in the Chicago colorway.
Featuring a white flyweave upper with a white patent leather finish in the heel, this particular model has been a favorite of the Kraken for a while now.
Hey, it works so why switch it up right?
