Blue Eagle Isaac Go reveals rare skin condition
"It should not affect how you should act as a person or how you should be treated. It doesn’t make you a less of a person."

If there’s one thing we all know about Ateneo Blue Eagle big man Isaac Go, it’s that he’s hella clutch.

An integral part of the Blue Eagles’ championship run back in UAAP Season 80, Go came up with big shot after big shot in the semifinals and finals, en route to Ateneo’s ninth UAAP men’s basketball title.

(Here are a few more things you should know about Isaac Go!)

One thing you may not know about him however, is that he’s part of just one percent of the world’s population to have an autoimmune skin disease known as Vitiligo.

In simple terms, Vitiligo is a skin condition wherein patches of one’s skin loses their pigment or color.

While there is now known cure for Vitiligo, the condition is mainly not life-threatening or contagious.

It can however, affect one’s self-consciousness, and that’s what Isaac wants to change.

June 25 was World Vitiligo Day, and Isaac revealed that he’s part of the very small percentage of people who have the skin condition.

He also urges people to not be afraid or ashamed of it.

“I’m here to say that there is nothing to be afraid and ashamed about it. It should not affect how you should act as a person or how you should be treated. It doesn’t make you a less of a person. Happy World Vitiligo Day!” Isaac’s post read.

Happy World Vitiligo Day!
