LOOK: Athletes rise up to the #10yearchallenge
Thousands of online users went nostalgic on social media for the #10yearchallenge, which involves posting a picture of themselves back in 2009 and now.

Thousands of online users went nostalgic on social media for the #10yearchallenge, which involves posting a picture of themselves back in 2009 and now.

As public figures, these athletes resorted to their wit and dug deep into their personal archives to bring us an entertaining account of what had changed over the past decade.

Thirdy Ravena

The Ateneo Blue Eagles star is often at the receiving end of jokes for being the doppelgänger of child actior Awra, most famous for his role in the long-running ABS-CBN series 'Ang Probinsyano'. As a good sport, the younger of the Ravena brothers lived up and posted this internet gem.

Amanda Villanueva

The BanKo-Perlas Spiker has been in the Philippine volleyball scene for better than a decade already, and started as one of the stars of the Adamson Lady Falcons squad that made the UAAP Final Four.

Nothing seems to have changed for her, a timeless beauty.

CJ McCollum

The Portland Trail Blazers guard was actually not participating in the challenge as of press time, but Jaleel White, most notably known as Steve Urkel from the 90's sitcom Family Matters, posted a pic of him dribbling the ball beside the Lehigh product in NBA action.

The Blazers' Twitter official account pounced on the opportunity and let out their sentiments.

Jayson Tatum

The third overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft had quite the rookie season for the Boston Celtics as they went all the way within six minutes short of an NBA Finals appearance without All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward.

Much of the team's success can be attributed to the Duke alumnus, whose poster dunk on LeBron James in Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals capped off a memorable playoff run for the Cs.

Tatum posted a picture of him and James at All-Star Weekend a decade ago along with the dunk that was seen around the world.

2009 NBA Draft Class

The 2009 NBA Draft class was one of the more memorable ones in recent memories, providing the basketball world with two MVPs in Stephen Curry and James Harden, All-Stars in Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan, and Jeff Teague.

NBATV provides a glimpse of their rookie campaign and how they fare now as the league's top-flight players.
