Huey, Klepac advance to Aussie Open Mixed Doubles semis

A day after getting booted out of the Australian Open Men's Doubles tournament with partner Max Mirnyi, Fil-American tennister Treat Huey made sure that he bounced back, and did so by advancing into the Mixed Doubles semifinals, along with partner Andreja Klepac of Slovenia. 

The tandem of Huey and Klepac dispatched India's Rohan Bopanna and Taipei's Yung-Jan Chan in two sets, 6-2, 7-5 in their quarterfinals match Wednesday afternoon. 

With the semis berth, Treat Huey will be the best finish of a Pinoy tennis player as in a Grand Slam event, as confirmed by the Philippine Tennis Association or PHILTA. 

Up next for Team Huey/Klepac is a semis date agains the tandem of Horia Tecau from Romania and Coco Vandeweghe of the United States.
