Before ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo took her place in front of the camera as one of the network's veteran sports reporters, she made a name for herself as a tennis player, representing the Philippines in the Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games, and the Fed Cup.

Now, Castillejo brings pride to the Philippines once more, as she the first Pinoy to be awarded with the Fed Cup's commitment award.

According to the Fed Cup website, the Commitment Award is "presented by the ITF to players who have shown long-standing dedication to representing their country in this prestigious competition. Each Award recipient has competed in a minimum of 20 World Group ties or 40 ties at any level of the competition (including Zone Group Events) over their career"

Castillejo competed in the Fed Cup from 1981 to 1990.

She joins 134 other players who have already met the criteria, including Billie Jean King and Petra Kvitova.
