Matthew Castillejo Garcia and Japanese partner win ITF Juniors Boys' Doubles

Matthew Castillejo Garcia and Noritaka Koizumi tore through the competition to win the ITF Boys Doubles Tournament of the South Pacific Open Junior Championships in Fiji
Filipino tennis player Matthew Castillejo Garcia and his Japanese partner Noritaka Koizumi were victorious in the Boys Doubles Tournament of the South Pacific Open Junior Championships held in Fiji from June 25 to 30.
Garcia and Koizumi got through the first round due to a Bye before defeating the team of Souta Oomura of Japan and Jae Sung Park of Korea, 6-3, 6-4.
In the quarterfinals, Garcia and Koizumi were more dominant as they blasted the pairing of Jiaxi Ma of China and Yuki Yoshida of Japan, 6-2, 6-2.
The Garcia-Koizumi pairing were tested in the semifinals by New Zealand's Patrick Joss and Vanuatu's Clement Mainguy, before ultimately pulling out a 2-4, 4-2 [12-10] win.
In the finals, Garcia and Koizumi were unstoppable as they defeated the Australian pair of Rahul Desai and Amor Jasika, 4-0, 4-0.
This is the fourth ITF International win for Garcia, who is the son of ABS-CBN anchor Dyan Castillejo Garcia.
