“It went by so fast. But ngayon, I’m just making the most out of it. I just want to make the most out of the time I have with my teammates, the most out of this year in preparation for my future plans.” --- Kiefer Ravena
Stars and personalities are used to receiving both love and hate from their fans and bashers. But the most recent issue Kiefer Ravena was involved in was kind of different from all the ones he had in the past, basically because it involved two other sports figures that are just as equally celebrated.
Social media went wild a few months ago and, needless to say, the King Eagle was put into hot water. But now, emotions have simmered down and everyone is (hopefully) back to their senses.
“Siguro once and for all, it’s something done already. And I think the fans should respect us because we have parents also. Kung kami sanay na sa ganyan, may mga magulang kami who get affected by the situation. So hopefully it stops.”
“Personally ako, may takot ako sa Diyos. Pinalaki ako ng maayos at wala akong ginawa na isisira ng konsensya ko. Let’s just move on and focus on the brighter things in life. Anyway, it’s the UAAP already and it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the year.”
Kiefer added that they’re first and foremost athletes, not celebrities. All they want to do is play their sport and represent their respective schools in a very rightful manner. Now on his final year for the Blue and White, he is committed to… bringing the crown back to Katipunan. (Kala niyo ha.) The pressure is there, and it always has been. But he also shared that the great thing about it is that the rest of the Blue Eagle squad and coaching staff share and work above it.
The past four years flew by in just a blink of an eye, and the fifth year Communications Technology Management major is surprised that he’s about to take his final bow in the collegiate basketball scene.
“It went by so fast. But ngayon, I’m just making the most out of it. I just want to make the most out of the time I have with my teammates, the most out of this year in preparation for my future plans.”
