ONLY ONE. A third win in a row would send Mike Tolomia and FEU alone atop the leaderboard.

Far Eastern University attempts to reclaim its status as consensus favorites in the 78th Season of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament via a third consecutive victory.
The Tamaraws seek to raise their record to 4-1 and rise to a spot alone atop the standings at the expense of the University of the East Red Warriors on Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
Tip-off is set at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
Excluding their first and only loss, of course, FEU’s winning margins are all in double-digits. It cannot be stated enough that when the triumvirate of Mac Belo, RR Pogoy, and Mike Tolomia are on their game, the Tamaraws’ charge is pretty much impossible to stop.
What’s scary for the rest of the league is that when the three aren’t, other players are just waiting to pick up the slack. Referring to the contributions of players such as Raymar Jose and Monbert Arong, coach Nash Racela said, “Balance is really what we need.”
Balance is also the calling card for the relatively anonymous players of UE. Fronted by budding star Edson Batiller, the Warriors are off to a solid 2-2 start after no experts pegged them to contend throughout the season.
