Coming out party for La Salle's Larry Muyang

THE BEAR 2.0? La Salle's Larry Muyang was the best big man on the floor as the Green Archers win again ahead of a crucial stretch to end round 1 of UAAP Season 78.
In a game where veteran big man Jason Perkins was practically a non-factor, De La Salle University found a steady inside presence in Larry Muyang.
The 6'5" Muyang submitted an efficient 11-point, 11-rebound performance in 30 minutes as the Green Archers weathered a late UE rally to grab hold of third place in the 78th UAAP Season.
He was also a force defensively, terrorizing the Red Warriors offense to the tune of four blocks. "Larry is starting understand his role with the team and we want to develop all our players, not just him," head coach Juno Sauler told ABS-CBN Sports.
Muyang, whose journey started from playing on multiple "ligang labas" at San Fernando, Pampanga with stops in San Sebastian before landing at La Salle said he was just repaying his coach's confidence. "Binibigyan ako ng kumpiyansa ni coach para makapaglaro at binibigay ko naman yung best ko," the 20-year old Sta. Ana, Pampanga native told reporters.
And in what can only be considered as music to ears of the La Salle faithful, Muyang is looking forward for more double-doubles in hopes of doing his best impression of Norbert Torres, one of the beloved Green Archers of recent memory who helped the Taft-based squad win a championsip just two seasons ago.
Not bad for someone who never imagined playing for one of the premier collegiate programs in the country.
