Watch: The most memorable UAAP Cheerdance routines
Relive some of the most memorable UAAP Cheerdance routines.

Every now and then, there are performances in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition that are just amazing people still talk about them for years and become the measuring stick for every succeeding routine.

With the latest edition of the UAAP's most popular event, relive some of the best routines below.

In the middle of their five-peat, the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe changed the game forever with their now immortal "Helicopter" stunt from their 2004 performance. Salinggawi secured a second three-peat thanks to this routine.

For years, the FEU Cheering Squad performed under the shadows of Salinggawi and UP Pep, but in 2009 backed by a mythical bird, the dancers from Morayto finally broke through with a championship.

This victory and performance by FEU is significant and memorablebecause it proved that the CDC is not just a contest between the two traditional powerhouses. "Sarimanok" made sure that others are more than capable of stealing the spotlight.

Lately, whether its going blonde or a "Rainbow/Equality" theme, it seems like the UP Pep Squad's statements are as powerful as their actual routine.

And perhaps the most memorable of their many masterpieces was the time all of them went bald in 2012 and saw the women lifting their male teammates. It a subtle yet genius move that resulted in another title for Diliman.

Similar to FEU's 2009 win, the NU Pep Squad's victory in 2013 proved that the UAAP Cheerdance is not just about the regular powerhouses.

While you can argue that NU's 2014 performance was "better" their Season 76 routine was on another level on its own.

They made a wish, it came true and what we got was a memorable performance.

The 2015 UAAP Cheerdance Competition will take place on Saturday at the MOA Arena. All of the participants’ talents will be on full display LIVE starting at 2:00 PM only on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as sports.abs-cbn.com.
