Jerson Prado will likely be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a dislocated patella in his right knee against Adamson
As if the struggling UP Maroons needed any more bad news, they may have just lost one of their rookies as bigman Jerson Prado exited the game late in the second quarter of their UAAP men's basketball first round match against Adamson with an apparent knee injury, Sunday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Prado went up for a rebound around the 3:04 minute mark of the second quarter and then crumpled to the floor, immediately clutching his right knee.
Prado was stretchered off the floor and immediately rushed to the hospital from the Mall of Asia Arena.
According to a report from UP Courtside Reporter Nina Alvia, Prado suffered a dislocated knee.
Prado had already tallied four points and nine boards before the injury happened.
UPDATE: After the game, Maroons coach Rensy Bajar confirmed that Prado suffered a dislocated patella. Prado was rushed to the nearby San Juan De Dios.
No timetable yet as to how long Prado will be out of action.
