MAKING A STATEMENT. FEU seeks to make another statement about their dominance while Ateneo seeks to make a statement that they remain a force to reckon with.

First things first, Bo Perasol remains Ateneo de Manila University’s head coach in the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Still, that doesn’t mean proving himself will getting any easier as the Blue Eagles begin the second round against league-leading Far Eastern University on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Perasol’s boys stand in the way of the Tamaraws’ charge at 11:00 AM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
Back in the first round, the Tamaraws trampled on the Eagles, 88-64. The game served as FEU’s statement that when Mac Belo, Mike Tolomia, and RR Pogoy are clicking, they’re pretty much unstoppable.
However, the trio is yet to be clicking game in and game out and head coach Nash Racela has, more than once, rued that FEU needs to work on being “consistently inconsistent.”
Inconsistency has also been the problem in Katipunan as a 4-3 record after the first round put Perasol under fire. Still, the now third-year mentor has been given the chance to fix a Kiefer Ravena-centric offense.
