POUNDING THE PAINT. Pape Sarr and Alfred Aroga will need to score more than usual to be able to give Adamson and NU, respectively, a chance.
Games on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum
2:00 PM – NU vs Adamson
4:00 PM – Ateneo vs UST
In the 78th Season of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament, defending National University started 0-3, got on a three-game winning streak, and then suffered back-to-back defeats.
The Bulldogs try to rise once more at the expense of an Adamson University side which will be without its top gunner on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Tip-off is at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
A sputtering offense has dragged down NU’s stout defense to the bottom half of the standings. Gelo Alolino and Alfred Aroga have been forced to take a high volume of shots as the defending champions plan to continue powering through their offensive slump.
Meeting them will be the Soaring Falcons who just may have an even harder time finding the bottom of their net with lead scorer Joseph Nalos serving a one-game suspension. Still, Pape Sar has looked better and better game in and game out and just might already be up for the challenge of carrying much more of the scoring load.
The Bulldogs feasted on the Falcons in their first meeting, 75-54.
