Clutch J-jay on his heroics for NU: 'Ready lang ako'

"Ready lang ako, gamitin ka ng three minutes o thirty minutes you just give your best. Nothing to be ashamed of." - J-jay Alejandro after he led NU to an important win.
All J-jay Alejandro had to do was sink his free throws and defending champion NU Bulldogs keep their season alive.
And while others wilt under pressure, Alejandro was automatic.
In fact, it looked like he was at ease. "Mental na lang yun eh. Every practice naman nagsho-shoot ka ng free throws. Hindi dahilan 'yun," Alejandro said as he made a total of six free throws, four in the last 22.7 seconds of regulation and another two in overtime.
Barely escaping a very young yet very game Adamson squad, the Bulldogs know that all their remaining games will be virtually do-or-die.
For Alejandro, the only way to return to the Final Four and properly defend their championship is to do it together. "We have to do it together. Hindi kaya mag-isa ni Alfred [Aroga], hindi kaya ni Gelo [Alolino]," he said.
Obviously not the same team as they were last season, Alejandro is content to do what his coach wants him to do, and if the instruction is to go supernova on offense, he will do it. "Ready lang ako, gamitin ka ng three minutes o thirty minutes you just give your best. Nothing to be ashamed of," he told ABS-CBN Sports.
