Slumping UST in between top-seed and rampaging FEU
BIG GAME. When FEU and UST met in the first round, they were two of the top teams in the league. Things are no different now in the second round.

Games on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum

2:00 PM – UE vs Adamson

4:00 PM – FEU vs UST

For much of the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament, the top spot has gone back and forth between Far Eastern University and University of Sto. Tomas.

First-place currently resides in Morayta and the Tamaraws seek to keep it there for good when they take on the Growling Tigers on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The battle between the top two teams in the standings begins at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.

FEU is currently on a rampage that has gone on for nine games. The trio of Mac Belo, Mike Tolomia, and RR Pogoy has kept on starring, but Nash Racela’s very deep lineup has also played a major role why they are one win away from locking up the number one seed for the Final Four.

However, that will have to come up against the first and only team that has solved the riddle of Morayta. The Tigers bit off a close 72-71 triumph over the Tamaraws back in the first round.

They may have dropped two of their last three assignments, but this is still the same UST squad with the versatility to match up with just about anyone as well the big-time players in Kevin Ferrer and Ed Daquioag to get the big-time plays done.
