BLUE VERSUS GREEN. Ateneo meets La Salle in a crucial contest that may just decide their Final Four fates.

4:00 PM – DLSU vs Ateneo

With Far Eastern University and University of Sto. Tomas pacing much of the 78th Season of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament, archrivals De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University have been unusually relegated to the background.

On Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum, they take center stage once more as the Green Archers battle the Blue Eagles in an all-important tiff that may just decide their Final Four fates.

Ateneo-La Salle Round Two commences at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on

After DLSU defeated Ateneo, 80-76, to end the first round, several distractions have come face-to-face with both of the archrivals.

The Eagles have experienced issues off the court first with John Apacible’s drunken incident and now Chibueze Ikeh’s interaction with the police. Nonetheless, reigning MVP Kiefer Ravena has willed his troops to a playoff berth with a respectable 8-4 record and still with a chance for a twice-to-beat advantage.

Archers’ captain Jeron Teng hasn’t had as much success with his team only managing one win in four games in the second round mainly due to missing contributions from the other guys. The Taft-based squad hopes that the likes of Jason Perkins and Thomas Torres re-appear once again so that they would able to avoid any complications for the Final Four.
