“It’s still in our hands” – Jeron Teng on DLSU’s Final Four
“It’s still in our hands, we just have two win our last two games, and we’ll see how it goes.”

The DLSU Green Archers have their backs against the wall.

After dropping their third straight contest, the Taft-based ballers are staring at a 5-7 record and are in danger of missing out on the Final Four, something that hasn’t happened since 2009 (not including Season 74, when DLSU was suspended from the UAAP.)

Following their 62-73 loss to Ateneo, Sunday evening, ABS-CBN Sports caught up with Archers captain Jeron Teng who talked about what went wrong.

“Ateneo came out with more energy than us, especially nung third quarter when they had their run and wala kaming nasagot,” Teng said.

Teng, who fouled out late in the fourth, finished with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Archers are now sitting at fifth place, behind defending champions NU, who holds a 6-7 slate. The Bulldogs have one game left, and it’s against the league-leading FEU Tamaraws.

With two games left against UP and FEU, Teng says things are still within reach for the Archers.

“It’s still in our hands, we just have two win our last two games, and we’ll see how it goes.”
