MUCH-NEEDED. DLSU is hoping to arrest a three-game slide that would get them back to winning and, more importantly, tie them for the fourth and final playoff berth.
Games on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum
2:00 PM – UST vs Adamson
4:00 PM – UP vs DLSU
De La Salle University has stumbled into a three-game losing streak this late in the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament. In fact, the last time they tasted triumph was last October 14.
The Green Archers seek to put an end to their month-long suffering and jolt some life back into their playoff chances when they battle the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Tip-off is at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
That the Archers are struggling is an understatement after all three of their losses came at the hands of teams once tied with or behind them in the standings. With defending champion National University getting on a roll and currently on the fourth and final playoff spot, Jeron Teng and his mates definitely have no room for error.
The season of disappointment also continued for the Maroons who suffered a fourth consecutive defeat the last time around. After a hopeful 2-0 start to the season, only one victory has been brought home to Diliman in the previous 10 games.
One of UP’s three wins in the tournament came at the expense of DLSU, 71-66, back in the first round.
