LOOKING FOR AN INCENTIVE. UST needs to win in their last assignment in the elimination round to lock up a top two finish and avoid any complications.

Games on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum

2:00 PM – UST vs Adamson

4:00 PM – UP vs DLSU

In their last four outings in the 78th Season of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament, Adamson University scared the life out of National University, handed a huge loss to De La Salle University, got routed by Far Eastern University, and then put down University of the East.

Not bad for the first team to be eliminated in the tournament.

University of Sto. Tomas hopes to avoid getting included in the victims’ column when the Growling Tigers take on the Soaring Falcons on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The battle between top and bottom teams starts at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on

Coming off completing an elimination round sweep of FEU, the Tigers need just one more win to clinch a twice-to-beat advantage for the Final Four. Conversely, a letdown would tie Kevin Ferrer, Ed Daquioag, and company with Ateneo de Manila University in the loss column and may possibly complicate matters.

The Falcons are playing for nothing but respect as they wrap up a relatively hopeful campaign. While they will once again finish at the bottom half of the standings, Mike Fermin’s boys have already tripled their win total from a season ago and, more importantly, shown up to fight all season long.

UST beat Adamson by a close margin in their first round meeting, 70-64.
