SPOT THE DIFFERENCE. Pio Longa was wearing a different kind of shorts from those of his teammates.
The University of the Philippines was hit with a very rare technical foul on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum after one of their players was found wearing different kind of shorts from those of his teammates.
The shorts of rookie Pio Longa had a logo of the Oblation printed on the middle right part. However, the official uniforms of the Fighting Maroons placed the logo on the middle left part.
It was De La Salle University assistant coach Allan Caidic who spotted the difference and game officials whistled the T early in the third period.
Following the infraction, the Green Archers were awarded a free throw which Thomas Torres failed to convert.
