Kiefer Ravena has one more game to secure the UAAP MVP award over old rival Kevin Ferrer.
Much like their senior year in high school, Ateneo's Kiefer Ravena and UST's Kevin Ferrer are in a heated race for the MVP crown.
As the Growling Tigers already wrapped up their elimination round that came with a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four and the Blue Eagles having one more assignment tomorrow, Ravena, the reigning MVP, is clinging to a two-point advantage over his old rival for the top individual award.
Based on the unofficial tally by ABS-CBN Sports as of November 13, Ravena has 69.3846 total Statistical points (SPs) over 13 games while Ferrer has amassed 67.3571 total SPs after the two-round eliminations.
However, the MVP award will likely be decided depending on how well Ravena performs against the UE Red Warriors on Saturday.
Alfred Aroga is coming in at third with 62.69 total SPs while Ed Daquioag and Jeron Teng round out the top five.
Also included in the top ten are Adamson's Papi Sarr at number six followed by Karim Abdul, Mac Belo, Gelo Alolino and Mike Tolomia.
During their final year in the junior ranks, Ferrer won the MVP award but it was Ravena and the Blue Eaglets who won the UAAP title at the expense of the UST Tiger Cubs.
