After ‘painful’ loss, Teng vows return to DLSU next year

RISE. Jeron Teng promised that he and DLSU will come back stronger next season.
On Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum, De La Salle University squandered a lead of as much as 15 points to suffer an unceremonious exit in the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Describing the loss that saw the Green Archers losing grasp of a 12-point lead in the last eight minutes and ultimately falling out of the playoff picture, Jeron Teng told reporters with his usual emotionless demeanor, “Siyempre, it’s a painful loss kasi ito sana yung ticket namin for a playoff, but we fell short.”
Still, the DLSU faithful can choose to see a very important silver lining: Teng will be coming back to use his fifth and final playing year. Right from the King Archers’ mouth, “Definitely (I will be returning). I don’t want my last game to end like this.”
He also added, “Definitely, I’ll be back stronger next year."
