MUST-WIN. DLSU needs a win to stay alive while FEU needs a win to arrest a losing streak.
Games on Wednesday at the Araneta Colseum
2:00 PM – UE vs UP
4:00 PM – FEU vs DLSU
It all comes down to this: the final playoff berth will be determined in the final game of the elimination round of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament.
De La Salle University figures in a must-win battle to fan their playoff hopes against a Far Eastern University side looking for a much-needed win to break off from a slump at the Araneta Coliseum, Wednesday.
The Green Archers tackle the Tamaraws at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
DLSU has only won twice through six games in the second round to put itself in a precarious position barely hanging on with a 6-7 record. There’s still hope for Jeron Teng and company, however, as they just need to turn it on and get one win to forge a tie and force a playoff for the fourth-seed.
That is easier said than done up against FEU which has dominated with a 10-1 record before suffering their first back-to-back defeats of the season. Although already locked into the second-seed, Nash Racela’s wards still definitely don’t want to enter a matchup with Ateneo de Manila University on a losing streak.
The Tamaraws stampeded all over the Archers in the first round, 93-75.
