"Hindi ko na ito papakawalan pa." - Kevin Ferrer as the Tigers take another shot at the UAAP title.
For Kevin Ferrer and the rest of the senior Growling Tigers, they're all hoping that third time is the charm.
Making a third trip to the finals in the last four years and the two bitter defeats in Seasons 75 and 76 still at the back of his head, Ferrer is ready to do everything in his power not to let this one go.
"Ito talaga yung goal na bago kami umalis ng UST maka-iwan kami ng legacy," Ferrer told ABS-CBN Sports after the Tigers dethroned the NU Bulldogs in the Final Four, 64-55. "Mag-dasal at mag-training ng sobra. Hindi ko na ito papakawalan pa."
Karim Abdul, also in his last playing year, shares the same sentiment adding that this team is "ripe" to finally win it all.
"This time I think we are really ripe, more mature," Abdul said. "This team is really different."
The Growling Tigers lost to Ateneo and La Salle in Season 75 and 76 respectively before missing the Final Four entirely last year.
UST is set to take on the FEU Tamaraws for the Season 78 championship in a battle of the winningest UAAP teams in history.
