HISTORY AND HEARTBREAK. Only one between UST and FEU will get to avoid another heartbreak involving the title.
Game on Wednesday at the MOA Arena
3:30 PM – UST vs FEU
With their third Finals appearance in the last four years, University of Sto. Tomas is again eyeing to add another title to their current total of 18 – tying them for the league lead.
With their second straight Finals appearance, Far Eastern University is again eyeing to add another title that would raise their league-leading total to 20.
The Growling Tigers and the Tamaraws commence with their historic best-of-three championship series on Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
The top two teams all throughout the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament do battle for all the glory beginning at 3:30 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
Both teams did not waste both time and twice-to-beat advantages in getting into the Finals with the Tigers swiping the crowns off the heads of National University and the Tamaraws goring Kiefer Ravena and Ateneo de Manila University right through the exit.
Also, both teams are hoping to avoid the heartbreaks of seasons past with UST coming up short to Ateneo and De La Salle University in 2012 and 2013, respectively, and FEU getting denied by NU a year ago.
The Tigers took both of their matchups in the elimination round – the only team to do so against the Tamaraws.
However, the Finals is indeed a different story as Mac Belo, Mike Tolomia, and RR Pogoy will definitely go all out in their last two – or three – collegiate contests and deliver to Morayta its first championship since 2005.
But the same goes for Kevin Ferrer, Ed Daquioag, and Karim Abdul as they try to take home Espana’s first title since 2006.
