NO SWEAT: Female ballers who still look great while playing
Bea Daez of the UP Lady Maroons is just one of the handful of UAAP women's basketball players who's got game and also look great.

Just so you know, the 78th Season of the UAAP Women’s Basketball Tournament is already on its homestretch as well.

The stepladder playoffs has been nothing but a continuation of an action-packed season that bore witness to a sweep by National University, challenges by De La Salle University, emergence of Ateneo de Manila University, surprise from University of the East, and well, graceful exits from University of the Philippines.

None of it would have been possible if not for exceptional leading ladies who deserve every bit of the spotlight that Men’s players like back-to-back MVP Kiefer Ravena and runner-up Kevin Ferrer receive.

So without further ado, let us get to know some of the women ballers who have made amazing happen with the ball all while looking amazing as well.

PS: We’ve indicated here their jersey numbers so the next time you do catch them whenever and wherever, you’ll know who to look for! (Aren’t we nice?)

AFRIL BERNARDINO – National University Lady Bulldogs #12

Now with back-to-back MVP wins, the girl can definitely back up the fierce faces she makes.

CAMILLE CLARO – De La Salle University Lady Archers #19

Taft Avenue’s little bundle of wow is the team’s top playmaker and second-leading scorer. How we wish we could make a play for her.

KAREN IDO – Adamson University Lady Falcons #4

Seeing action for only 12 minutes per game, the pint-sized point guard is some sort of secret. So here you are, making a huge discovery about her – and doesn’t that just feel good?

NICOLE MENDINA – University of the East Lady Warriors #15

The Lady Warriors have overachieved this season and always pouting, always working Mendina has been a good reason why.

MISAELA LAROSA – University of Sto. Tomas Golden Tigresses #8

Double-double machine Maica Cortes gets all the attention for the girls from Espana, but she has a more than capable partner-in-crime in Larosa who normed eight points and eight rebounds per game herself.

MARGARITA DAGDAGAN – De La Salle University Lady Archers #12

Cute as they come, Dagdagan is nothing but deadly from deep with a 37 percent shooting clip through the eliminations. So yeah, now we know exactly how she shot through our hearts.

DANICA JOSE – Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles #18

The face of the Lady Eagles may have ended as the runner-up in the MVP race, but she’s second to none in our eyes.

ERIKA DY – Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles Head Coach

Ateneo is rising in the women’s ranks and we just might have to pinpoint their coach as the reason. Who wouldn’t be motivated to play for her?

BEA DAEZ – University of the Philippines Lady Maroons #7

Ah, Bea. You may have missed out on the Final Four in all your years in college, but it will definitely be you we will be missing when the next season rolls along and you will have already graduated.

And last but not least, BEA DAEZ – University of the Philippines Lady Maroons #7

Yes, that’s right. The Upfront at the UAAP host is so nice, we have to put her here twice.

I mean, c’mon! Who looks this good while crying?
