Daquioag, Belo win more cash prizes than two-time MVP Ravena
TO THE VICTORS GO THE SPOILS. Kiefer Ravena is now back-to-back MVP, but two players will be taking home more cash prizes than him.

Kiefer Ravena just won the league’s top prize for the second season in a row on Saturday, but he won’t be leaving the Araneta Coliseum as the player who gained the most.

In cash prizes, at least.

Along with the MVP, the Ateneo de Manila University star received PhP 80, 000 in total cash prizes courtesy of the Enervon special award and the Master Gwapo Player of the Season.

Definitely great compensation for becoming only the 10th back-to-back MVP in the UAAP’s 78-year history, but still less than what Ed Daquioag will be taking home. The University of Sto. Tomas standout was named Appeton Weight Gain Most Improved Player of the Season and earned PhP 100, 000 in cash prizes.

Both Ravena and Daquioag also garnered Php 10, 000 worth of KFC gift certificates for being part of the Mythical Team.

Another player trumped the now back-to-back MVPs winnings in the form of Mac Belo who got for himself a PhP 100, 000 savings deposit as the PSBankable Player of the Season.

The other recipients of special awards are Kevin Ferrer as Bear Brand Level Up Player of the Season (winning PhP 40, 000 worth of Sodexo gift certificates), Jeron Teng as Jollibee Beeda ang Galing Player of the Season (winning PhP 50, 000 cash), and Andrei Caracut as Manulife Rising Star of the Season (winning PhP 50,000 in cash).
