BE RIGHT BACK. Nash Racela still has full confidence that Mike Tolomia will be back to being Mike Tolomia in what would be his last collegiate outing.
Mike Tolomia turned in his worst performance in the UAAP 78 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the worst time possible.
Far Eastern University’s graduating guard scored seven points, but had all of it come from the free throw line as he missed all 15 of his attempts from the field. He also tallied six assists, but counteracted all of them by turning the ball over six times.
Tolomia’s night was so disappointing that he refused to talk about it with media – for now, at least. “Babawi ako sa inyo next game,” he said.
For his part, Tamaraws coach Nash Racela said he still has full confidence in his lead guard. As he put it, “(It’s) not a concern. He’s a veteran. He’s going to come back stronger.”
