THE PHENOM. If you were to be a Blue Eagle next year, would you be brave enough to wear jersey number 15?
Many, many, many words have been said about Kiefer Ravena and the greatness he always had in Ateneo de Manila – from the High School to the University – so we will keep this introductory part short and sweet.
We will just use this space to remind each and every one that this kid was touted as already some sort of a legend back when he was still a Blue Eaglet – yes, there’s a “t” at the end of that.
And all he did was to own being “The Phenom” we all said he was. Two Most Valuable Player awards, two championships – will there be another Blue Eagle brave enough to wear jersey number 15 for the next year and beyond?
How are you feeling after playing your final UAAP game – a Final Four loss at the hands of FEU?
Wala pa akong maisip ngayon. Naiisip ko pa yung tira ni Mac (Belo) e. (Turning serious) Not really disappointed to not end with a championship. It’s all about the journey.
What will you miss most about being a Blue Eagle?
This game (the 2015 UAAP Final Four game against FEU). It’s my last and what a way to end it.
What will you miss most about being an Ateneo student?
Just… I’m looking forward to graduating. That’s something I wanna give back to my parents.
What is the legacy you will be leaving behind to the Blue Eagles?
Someone who really have his best all the time. Bigay-todo lang lagi kasi ang sarap maglaro sa Ateneo.
What is your final message to the Ateneo community?
Thank you very much to everyone who helped me in my nine years in the UAAP.
