WHO DID IT BETTER. Kevin Ferrer and Kiefer Ravena each buried six three-pointers in one quarter this season.
This season, old rivals and friends Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Ferrer battled for the UAAP Most Valuable Player award.
Ravena would later win and go on to make his buddy Ferrer his "Co-MVP," there was another thing both collegiate superstars shared this season.
They happened to go crazy from beyond the arc for one quarter and buried six three-pointers each.
Ravena torched then defending champion NU Bulldogs in their second round encounter last October 25 at the MOA Arena.
Even with a bad ankle, Ravena exploded for six treys against the NU defense and scored 21 of his 32 points in the first quarter.
Watch them all below.
And then we have Ferrer.
On the brink of yet another Finals defeat, Ferrer saved the UST Growling Tigers from elimination with a virtuoso performance never before seen from the lanky shooter.
The King Tiger likewise buried six three-point shots in the third quarter against the FEU Tamaraws that gave UST enough cushion to force a deciding game 3 in the UAAP Finals.
Ferrer scored 24 of his career-high tying 29 points in the period. It was the most by a player in one quarter since the UAAP started using computer-based statistics in 2003.
Watch Ferrer (and ABS-CBN Sports and Action anchor TJ Manotoc) lose his mind here.
So who did it better? Kevin Ferrer or Kiefer Ravena?
