FINE LINE. Not much separates Espana and Morayta, but one area will be celebrating with each other while the other will be consoling one another after Game Three.
Game on Wednesday at the MOA Arena
3:30 PM – UST vs FEU
This is it. The 78th Season of the UAAP Men’s Basketball Tournament comes down to four quarters, two halves, one game for all the glory.
University of Sto. Tomas stalks a record-matching 19th championship while Far Eastern University charges towards what would be a new league-best 20th title on Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
The last matchup of UAAP 78 basketball tips-off at 3:30 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com.
Both teams have taken one game apiece in the best-of-three series and have banked on their respective strengths to do so.
The Tamaraws rushed to a series-opening victory powered by an all-around attack that had contributions from Mac Belo to Alfrancis Tamsi. In Game Two, the Tigers roared right back to level the series thanks to an unbelievable shooting performance by “co-MVP” Kevin Ferrer who then had timely help from Ed Daquioag and Karim Abdul.
While momentum currently resides in Espana whose boys have their confidence level as high as ever, Morayta’s representatives have been here before just a season ago and remain determined not to let their hearts get broken twice in a row.
Along with being the decider for the championship, Game Three will also serve as the collegiate farewells for Tamaraws Belo, RR Pogoy, and Mike Tolomia and Tigers Ferrer, Daquioag, and Abdul.
