La Salle loss still the hardest pill to swallow for Ferrer, Abdul

The La Salle loss in 2013 was the one that truly got away from the UST Growling Tigers.
Third time was not the charm, instead the UST Growling Tigers suffered yet another game 3 heartbreak, this time at the hands of the FEU Tamaraws.
However, in UST's three finals defeats in the last four years, the one against the De La Salle Green Archers remains the most painful.
Karim Abdul, a vital piece in all three UST title runs that eventually fell short, says that the loss to the Green Archers was the one that really got away.
Kevin Ferrer shares the same sentiment, adding that the defeat at the hands of La Salle, which also went the distance in 2013, hurts more because of the way it ended.
"Yung pangalawa talaga, syempre kasi short. Nandun na pero nawala," the graduating King Tiger said.
The Tigers also lost that game against the Green Archers in game 3 that went into overtime.
The only difference being it was the Tigers that took the opener and led by 15 points in the third quarter of the finale.
Both Abdul and Ferrer finished their UAAP careers with runner-up MVP finishes and three finals defeats.
