A new era in Taft is about to begin, as De La Salle offically names Aldin Ayo as the Green Archers' new head coach.

It was only months ago that Ayo led the Letran Knights to their first NCAA title in ten years. Ayo, who was on his first tour of duty in Intramuros, will hope to replicate his success in his first year with DLSU.

Ayo takes the place of Juno Sauler, who mentored the Green Archers for the past three seasons, and led them to the title back in Season 76.

The DLSU Office of Sports Development released the official statement below:

DLSU names new Green Archers head coach

Upon deliberation of a search committee and consultation with the administration and alumni, De La Salle University is pleased to announce that Aldin Ayo is the new head coach of the Men's Basketball Team.

Ayo served as assistant coach of PBA team Kia Sorento in 2014. The following year, he became the head coach of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran. Through his guidance and leadership, the Letran Knights captured the Men's Basketball title in the current season of the NCAA.

The University welcomes Coach Aldin to the Lasallian community as he charts the new direction of the Green Archers.
