FORWARD MARCH. NU shoots for a 9-0 standing when UAAP Juniors basketball action resumes.
Games on Saturday at the San Juan Arena
9:00 AM – Ateneo vs UPIS
11:00 AM – UE vs FEU-Diliman
1:00 PM – DLSZ vs UST
3:00 PM – Adamson vs NU
Thus far in the UAAP 78 Juniors Basketball Tournament, Nazareth School of National University has proven they are the team to beat, even defeating by double-digits the defending champions not once, but twice.
A different challenge awaits the Bullpups on Saturday at the San Juan Arena when they take on Adamson High School, owners of the second-longest active winning streak at four.
The Baby Falcons try their luck once again on the undefeated league-leaders at 3:00 PM.
This season is turning out pretty much the same as last for Adamson as they have surprisingly placed themselves alongside Ateneo de Manila High School at third-place with similar 5-3 slates. No shining star like Jaydee Tungcab is on the roster, but very good talents like Jayson Celis and Ralph Chua have been playing to their potential.
Already dominating and still with lots of potential are NU’s cornerstones in Justine Baltazar and John Lloyd Clemente. The Pampanga natives have established themselves as, by far, the best end-to-end tandem in the league and they have a perfect 8-0 team record to show for all their effort.
Meanwhile, De La Salle Zobel aims to strengthen their stranglehold on the second-seed when they meet University of Sto. Tomas at 1:00 PM while the Blue Eaglets seek to snap their two-game losing skid at the expense of University of the Philippines Integrated School at 9:00 AM.
In another game at 11:00 AM, University of the East tries for its first win of the season against a Far Eastern University-Diliman side coming off a loss.
