Lady Falcons shoot for win no. 2, taste of early lead
Adamson University is looking to add National University in its list of victims.

An inspired Adamson University guns for its second straight win and a taste of the lead Saturday when the Lady Falcons take on a reeling National University Lady Bulldogs in the 78th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Lady Falcons hope to ride the crest of their hard-earned five set victory in their opening day match against the University of Sto. Tomas to start a winning run.

Opening serve of the showdown that will air live over ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23, ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream at sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap is slated at 4:00 p.m.

Adamson crushed the Golden Tigresses, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 28-30, 16-14, in a thrilling marathon duel last Wednesday.

Jessica Galanza exploded for 28 points to power the Lady Falcons with Mylene Paat and May Roque providing support to lift Adamson past one of the top contenders this season.

They are looking at making a repeat against another powerhouse squad in the Lady Bulldogs, which are licking their wounds brought by a straight set loss to the defending back-to-back champions Ateneo de Manila Lady Eagles.

NU was dealt with an early setback by reigning two-time Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez and the Lady Eagles, 21-25, 19-25, 14-25, just a week ago.

Jaja Santiago and Myla Pablo, who both scored 11 the last time out, as well as Jorelle Singh are expected to rally the taller Lady Bulldogs to barge in the win column and erase the bitter memory of a disappointing season debut.
