REPLAY. Ateneo has to do what they did to FEU-Diliman just last Saturday to be able to move on to the next phase of the stepladder playoffs.
Game on Wednesday at the San Juan Arena
2:00 PM – Ateneo vs FEU-Diliman
They already did it just last Saturday, but Ateneo de Manila High School has to defeat Far Eastern University-Diliman yet again now in the most crucial matchup yet in the UAAP 78 Juniors Basketball Tournament.
The Blue Eaglets and the Baby Tamaraws meet in a do-or-die duel at the San Juan Arena, Wednesday to determine who will move on into the next round of the stepladder playoffs.
Third-seed battles fourth-seed at 2:00 PM.
Jolo Mendoza and company already scored a convincing win against FEU-Diliman, but that was during the last gameday of the elimination round when their meeting no longer had any bearing. Now with the title they are defending definitely on the line, Ateneo’s guard is all the way up.
The Baby Tamaraws have the talent to threaten the defending champions, but they will be handicapped with man in the middle Kenji Roman doubtful due to an injury. Still, the boys from Diliman are certain to go all out on the stage they failed to get on a season ago.
The winner in this matchup will then face second-seeded and twice-to-beat De La Salle Zobel on Monday.
