A handful of members from the National University men's football team took to the Moro Lorenzo Field in Ateneo wearing black armbands in tribute to fellow footballer and UP scholar Rogie Maglinas, who passed away after battling a rare form of cancer last February 2.
The black armbands that read "#ForRogie 13", were the same bands that members of the UP men's football team had on during their opening match against FEU last Sunday.

Among the NU players that wore the bands were team captain Paolo Salenga, Nico Macapal, Darwin Regala, Patrick Valenzuela, and Jezer Jalandoni.
While NU and UP were adversaries on the field, the tribute was a touching gesture from fellow members of the Filipino football community. It only goes to show that indeed, in football, everyone is family.
