DLSZ sets sights on Ateneo’s crown in playoff date
WE MEET AGAIN. It's Ateneo-La Salle for the third time in the season and this time, the stakes are only higher.

De La Salle Zobel swept their archrivals in the elimination round, but a third win in a row against Ateneo de Manila High School will undoubtedly be their greatest feat thus far in the UAAP 78 Juniors Basketball Tournament.

The Junior Archers hope they wouldn’t even get to use their twice-to-beat advantage and just dethrone the Blue Eaglets outright on Monday at the San Juan Arena.

The playoff date between the archrivals is scheduled at 9:00 PM.

Behind season MVP Aljun Melecio, DLSZ has played their best basketball in years. While it yet to be enough to catch dominant Nazareth School of National University, the boys from Alabang are still one win away from their first Finals since 2012.

Ateneo was in the Finals in the last two seasons and won it all in the most recent one. Now back at full health, Jolo Mendoza – along with wingman Gian Mamuyac – are nothing but confident that they can return to the championship stage and challenge the undefeated Bullpups there.
