ONE LA SALLE. Kim Fajardo is happy to share that the Lady Spikers are more together as a team this season.
With a win-loss record of 3-1, De La Salle University remains in pursuit of the team that denied them of a championship a season ago.
In Kim Fajardo’s mind, however, they have already surpassed one team they are supposed to – the Lady Spikers of a season ago. “Mas feel ko yung one-ness namin kesa last year. Mas prepared kami lumaban sa kung sino,” she expressed.
The team effort emanating from Taft Avenue was on full display during their most recent win last Saturday. Ara Galang was the only one with double-digits in points, but a total of nine players contributed in the scoring column for a straight sets win.
Now team captain, Fajardo is undoubtedly one of the reasons for that “one-ness.” Along with making her voice be heard on the floor, she has also let her game do some leading as exemplified by the nine points she tipped in the last time around.
Asked which style suits her more, Galang’s or Aby Marano’s leadership, the incumbent DLSU captain replied, “Lagi nilang sinasabi sa akin, na alam ko naman din, dapat sa gitna.”
She also added, “Dapat gumawa ng sariling pangalan.”
