--- Coach Kung Fu.
Emilio "Kung Fu" Reyes was a champion coach back in the juniors division, hugely responsible for the volleyball growth of Alyssa Valdez, EJ Laure and other stars of today.
But now he's getting an exclusive look on just how hard it is to win in the senior ranks and he's not denying he enjoyed listing that first "W" into his column.
Yun din naman yung hinihintay ko na manalo ako dito kasi lahat naman, senior coach ka o rookie coach ka, yun naman ang hinihintay mo eh, yun yung pinaghihirapan mo," Reyes said after the Tigresses beat the UE Lady Warriors in straight sets for their first win of the season.
Aside from relishing the victory, Reyes was quick to point out what exactly are the differences in coaching the juniors team versus coaching the seniors team.
The former Tiger Spiker said that coaching in the juniors is all about growth, even if the wins do not come as often as you would like, there is gratification in seeing the players absorb the lessons learned to be able to grow and get ready for college.
But when it comes to the seniors division though, winning is what matters.
He added that for some players, the UAAP is the trasintion period for the semi-pro leagues.
