NO-MAN. Aljun Melecio is hoping to reject NU once again.
Nazareth School of National University needs just one more win to complete their second perfect season in the past three years.
Standing in the Bullpups’ way is De La Salle Zobel who haven’t figured them out in three tries.
Still, the Junior Archers have season MVP Aljun Melecio and he knows a little something about disappointing NU.
Before he committed to De La Salle University, the NU Bulldogs were serious contenders to poach away Alabang’s scoring dynamo. Taking over for Gelo Alolino sounded all well and good for him, but he ultimately was unable to put down his shield of green and white.
As he told ABS-CBN Sports when he officially booked a ticket to Taft Avenue, “First of all, yung education. Sa basketball naman, sobrang ganda ng program.”
Now, Melecio is the last obstacle before the Bullpups finish up one of the most dominant seasons in recent history. While he is yet to break through their bully basketball, he remains determined to win the one thing he wants as he said, “Yung MVP, wala rin kung walang championship.”
He then continued, “Maging champion lang talaga ang gusto ko.”
