Limping Far Eastern University and University of Sto. Tomas clash to get back into the win column.
Far Eastern University and University of Sto. Tomas look to avoid falling into consecutive losses in their 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament duel on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Opening serve of the match that will air live over ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23, ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream at sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap is at 10:00 a.m.
The Tamaraws are struggling in form as FEU remain stuck at fifth spot with a 2-2 win-loss record. The Morayta-based squad are playing erratic with on-and-off games.
FEU fell victim to the soaring Adamson Falcons, 28-30, 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, last Sunday.
The Tigers, who placed third in Season 77, are also having a hard time to gain a winning momentum.
UST is tied with the De La Salle Green Spikers in sixth to seventh spot with only a win in four games.
The Espana-based squad dropped its first two games, defeated the listless University of the East in its third outing before bowing down to the National University, 21-25, 25-27, 15-25, last Wednesday in a rematch of last year’s Final Four, where the Bulldogs scored an upset against the then twice-to-beat Tigers to advance in the finals against eventual champion Ateneo de Manila.
The Tamaraws will bank on Jeric Gacutan, Greg Dolor and Jude Garcia against the star trio of the Tigers Manuel Medina, Arnold Bautista and Patrick Balse.
