Adamson seeks fourth win in a row
Adamson eyes to put down De La Salle for its fourth straight victory.

After snaring huge upsets against taller teams, Adamson University eyes to take down De La Salle on Sunday for a share of the top spot in the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at MOA Arena in Pasay City.

Riding the crest of their three-game winning run including a five-set upset of repeat-seeking Ateneo de Manila, the Falcons collide with the Green Spikers in the match slated at 10:00 a.m.

The game will air live over ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream at

Adamson is in a three-way logjam at 3-1 win-loss record tied with Ateneo and University of the Philippines, which is also on a three-game winning roll, behind league-leading National University (4-1).

Backed by Dave Pletado and Bryan Saraza’s combined 32 points, the Falcons dismantled the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 30-28, 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, last Sunday.

The San Marcelino-based squad is looking to add DLSU in its list of victims and for a taste of the lead.

But getting a fourth straight victory won’t be an easy walk in the park for the Falcons.

The Green Spikers are raring to halt their three-game slide including a 23-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-27 loss against UP last Wednesday.

Second-running best scorer Raymark Woo, John Onia and Ralph Calasin need to step up big time to put a stop to their skid.
