All smiles in San Marcelino as the Falcons take a fourth straight win.
What looked like a blowout turned into a battle of attrition as the Adamson Soaring Falcons took on the DLSU Green Spikers in the UAAP Season 78 men's volleyball tournament at the MOA Arena.
When the dust finally settled, the Archers failed to shoot down the Falcons and Adamson created another logjam at the top with a 25-9, 24-26, 32-30, 27-25 victory Sunday.
It was the fourth straight win for the Falcons, tying last year's finalists Ateneo and NU at the top with 4-1 records.
Adamson looked flawless in the opening set, dominating La Salle in just 17 minutes but the Green Spikers would take it right back with a close second set, 26-24.
The battle continued in the third and fourth sets but it was the Soaring Falcons, Final Four contenders in Season 77, that pulled off two clutch wins to walk away victorious.
Michael Sudaria's 16 led five Falcons with at least 12 points as Adamson displayed a variety of offensive weapons.
Paolo Pablico (15), Jerome Sarmiento (14), Bryan Saraza (13), Dave Pletado (12) all contributed to Adamson's cause.
The Green Spikers fell victimes to another close match, absorbing their fourth straight defeat for a 1-4 record.
DLSU lost to Ateneo in five sets and ran against a confident UP squad in four last Wednesday.
John Onia took the fight for the men in green with 22 points while Raymark Woo had another solid outing with 19.
