Adamson University capped its first round campaign with a six-game winning streak.
Adamson University kept its hot streak going Saturday morning as the Falcons razed University of Sto. Tomas, 25-12, 18-25, 25-21, 25-22, to cap their 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament first round of eliminations with a six-game winning romp at the Big Dome.
The Falcons tightened their grip of the top spot with a 6-1 win-loss record after another solid and balance offensive performance.
Head coach Domingo Custodio had four players scoring in double digits with Dave Pletado nailing 19 points off 14 kills, four kill blocks and a service ace.
Skipper Michael Sudaria finished with 15 points anchored on 13 attacks while adding three digs and four perfect receives in an all-around performance for the San Marcelino-based squad. Bryan Saraza posted 13 while Jerome Sarmiento had 11.
After dropping a three-set match against National University in the season-opener, Adamson is now has the longest winning run in the field.
The Falcons added more woes to an already collapsing Tigers.
UST is down with a three-game losing slump to slide back at 1-5 card heading to its last first round assignment on Wednesday against De La Salle (1-4).
Manuel Medina had 15 points while Jason Sarabia posted 10 for the Tigers.
