University of the Philippines hopes to halt a two-game skid against listless University of the East.
University of the Philippines takes on a slumping University of the East on Sunday with a mission to arrest a two-game skid in the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
After raking three straight victories, the Fighting Maroons dropped their next two games including a sorry 18-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 13-15, defeat at the hands of league-leading Adamson Falcons last Wednesday.
UP is looking to end the dry spell in the 10:00 a.m. match will air live on ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream at sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap.
And getting that victory with league second-running scoring leader Wendel Miguel, John Mark Millete, and Alfred Valbuena leading the march could be a little bit easier against a team that has lost all of its first six outings.
The Red Warriors’ woes continue to haunt UE, which finished last season without a single win. The Recto-based squad are coming off a 16-25, 18-25, 14-25, loss to Ateneo de Manila last Wednesday.
